Netcraft Toolbar 1.0 - Windows 2000/XP
Requires: Internet Explorer 6, or Firefox 1.0 or better.
(FileSize: 2.86 mb for IE6 - 84 kb for Firefox) [Freeware] ScreenShot

The Toolbar community is effectively a giant neighbourhood watch scheme, empowering the most alert and most expert members to defend everyone within the community against phishing frauds. Once the first recipients of a phishing mail have reported the target URL, it is blocked for community members as they subsequently access the URL. Widely disseminated attacks (people constructing phishing attacks send literally millions of electronic mails in the expectation that some will reach customers of the bank) simply mean that the phishing attack will be reported and blocked sooner.
Protect your savings from Phishing attacks.
See the hosting location and Risk Rating of every site you visit.
Help defend the Internet community from fraudsters.

The Toolbar also:

Traps suspicious URLs containing characters which have no common purpose other than to deceive.
Enforces display of browser navigational controls (toolbar & address bar) in all windows, to defend against pop up windows which attempt to hide the navigational controls.
Clearly displays sites' hosting location, including country, helping you to evaluate fraudulent urls (e.g. the real or sites are unlikely to be hosted in the former Soviet Union).
Please download and try out the toolbar.

Information about licencing a branded version of the Toolbar for your own organisation is also available. The list of phishing sites reported by the Toolbar community is now available as a feed suitable for ISPs, hosting companies, enterprises, and other companies that operate mail servers and web proxies, or network monitoring systems.

eDonkey 2000 1.1.16 - Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP
(FileSize: 3.5 mb) [Freeware] ScreenShot

eDonkey is a File Sharing program. This means that it will give you the opportunity to share files you have on your computer with other users on the network, and you will in turn be able to download files of them.

There are a lot of file sharing programs out there, eDonkey is a little different from each of them (we like to think a little better). Unlike several programs (most notably the now defunct napster) eDonkey does not have one central server. There are literally hundreds of servers out there, each of them run by another eDonkey user, wanting to help the network, while we haven't gathered any precise statistics, we do know that there are servers on every continent (except antarctica), with a high concentration in europe.

eDonkey is also smart enough to tell the difference between two files, even if they have the same file size and name, this has two advantages, firstly it ensures that unique files are properly presented, and secondly, that when several identical files are found eDonkey can download from those independent sources at the same time, making your downloads faster! This unique file identification also allows you to create links to the files you have, sending them to friends or family, or put them on your website, so users who have eDonkey installed as well can download that exact same file from your, or any other user who has it!

What's new in this version:

Catalog - added space between number and "results" which would be missing on some clients
Catalog - made results on lines with a small amount of text show up correct
Donkey Search - fixed bug where it was filtering some results
Donkey Search - fixed sending info before we get a reply to the handshake
fixed some publishing issues

MultiRes 1.52 - Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP

Supported resolution and refresh rates are accessible from the command-line or from a simple menu that pops up from the system tray. An optional timed confirmation prompt – enabled by default in the program About box – ensures that any changes you make can be reversed safely, without fuss. While MultiRes - unlike EnTech’s PowerStrip - does not allow you to define new display settings, it does give you quick and easy access to the ones the driver makes available – in a simple, compact and conservative package.
