Today I'm posting links to two great DVD programs. DVD Shrink that will help to shrink DVD's so you can burn them to one DVD. Most of todays DVD's are 5-9 GB big. You would have to use two 4.7 GB, store bought DVD blanks to fit most DVD movies This program analyzes the DVD to copy, and compress the info, with very little loss of quality. Kind of like what an MP3 does for music, or a JPG does for pictures.

The second program DVD Decrypter will decode and copy the DVD to your hard drive, and make an exact duplicate of the original DVD. Where you can either watch it from your computer, or use a burning program like Nero, or DVD Shrink to make a back up copy. It can also decrypt those certain DVD's that other DVD programs can't do correctly. Both are Freeware, and must haves for your DVD burning needs.

Special Note: On those rare occasions when DVD Shrink has trouble with decoding a hard to do DVD. DVD Decrypter can be used to decode the DVD properly, then DVD Shrink can be used to make the DVD fit onto one blank DVD. Both work well together.

If you already possess alternative burning software and prefer to stick with it, then you can still use DVD Shrink. The output from DVD Shrink can be saved as files on your hard drive, which you can then burn with software of your choice.

DVD Shrink is free software. You should never pay for DVD Shrink.

Cascade DTP 4.0.001 Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP
(FileSize: 2.3 mb) [Freeware] ScreenShot

Cascade DTP is a new kind of web page composition tool that harnesses the powerful features of cascading style sheet (CSS) layout and formatting commands.
Until recently, web designers were forced to use HTML tables as a means of controlling the position of page elements. But since the launch of IE5, Netscape 6 and later browsers, over 95% of web users can now view pages written using CSS.

Unfortunately, most of the major web editing packages still incorporate CSS tools as an add-on, which causes confusion and discourages a break with the compromises of the past.

Cascade DTP is different. Nearly all its functions are based entirely on the CSS layout model. The result is far cleaner code and much enhanced control over positioning and typography. This typically means pages download quicker because it is no longer necessary to convert text to images in order to give headings and logos the desired look.

Avatar Sizer 1.0.0.7 Windows 98/NT4/ME/2000/XP
(FileSize: 515 kb) [Freeware] ScreenShot

Avatar Sizer resizes an image and creates a JPG or GIF file suitable for use as a Forum or Messenger Avatar. The Aspect Ratio of the image is retained when the image is resized.

If, for example, you´ve taken a picture with your digital camera, you can turn it into an Avatar and use it to identify yourself.

Why would I need an Avatar Sizer?
Avatars must be a maximum of 150x150 pixels in size and less than 36KB. If you don't already have an image editing program you need Avatar Sizer. Avatar Sizer is much easier to use than most image editing programs.

Can any image be made into an Avatar?
In theory, Yes! Provided the image you have is one of the ones Avatar Sizer can handle (see the Notes for valid types), you can turn it into an Avatar. So, for example, if you've taken a picture with your digital camera, you can turn it into and Avatar.
