G-Lock SpamCombat 1.51 Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP
(FileSize: 1.89 mb) [Freeware] ScreenShot

SpamCombat takes the decision about spam at the result of passing incoming emails through its filters. DNSBL filter and the Bayesian filter are used to identify spam. DNSBL filter consists in comparing the senders' IP addresses against lists of known spam databases using Public Blacklists (also called DNSBL lists). The Bayesian filter is the most powerful spam filter based on the analysis of the message content and mathematical calculation of spam. The advantage of the Bayesian filter is that the filter can be trained by each individual user by categorizing each received email as either spam or good; after the user has categorized a few emails the filter will begin to make this categorization by itself. If the filter makes a mistake, the user re-categorizes the email; the filter learns from its mistakes. The accuracy of the Bayesian filter increases with time. "Well trained" filter can determine up to 99.5% of spam emails coming into your inbox.

For your convenience and saving time, SpamCombat lets you 'whitelist' emails you
receive from known senders. These may be your friends, customers, co-workers, newsletter senders you subscribed to and other people you really want to receive emails. Opposite to the 'whitelist' there is the 'blacklist' to which you can add suspicious, unknown or unwanted emails or their senders. The messages can be whitelisted or blacklisted based on any words from the message header and/or body, and on the sender's IP address. The ability to create the whitelist/blacklist lets you save time when processing incoming emails and allows the program to accurately refer messages to good or spam.

Using SpamCombat is absolutely safe. When you look through the emails retrieved by SpamCombat and categorize them to spam and 'good', no notice to the email senders is sent letting them know that the email was opened or read. Thus, nobody will know whether your email address is valid or not if you don't want it.

With SpamCombat you also look through the emails that are currently on your mail
server and delete unwanted ones to prevent pulling down superfluous kilobytes into
your inbox.

X-Setup Pro v6.5 Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP
(FileSize: 4.2 mb) [Freeware] ScreenShots

The mother of all tweaker
X-Setup Pro is a so-called "tweaker" program; it allows you to change settings that are normally hidden deeply in Windows fast and easily. There are many hidden settings in Windows as well as in a lot of other programs and normally you can't change them.

More than 1.600 settings
X-Setup Pro knows more than 1.600 of these settings and displays them in an easy to use interface, grouped by several aspects (Figure 1). Simply choose what you want to tweak, select the setting in question, make your change and hit the "Apply" button. It's that easy.

Even if you normally not consider changing hidden settings since you simply want to have your computer up and working, give X-Setup Pro a try. It includes some settings that fix some of the glitches found in Windows and other programs. You fret the massive Balloon tips that suddenly appear in Windows XP? Easily turn them off with X-Setup Pro. Your homepage in Internet Explorer does not stick? You have been homepage-hijacked - fix it with X-Setup Pro

Not only does X-Setup Pro offer all these settings, it has been created with the requirements of the user in mind. For example, Windows does not include any program that allows you to control all aspects of the computer startup, like which programs should be started automatically, how does the login window should look like etc. X-Setup Pro includes the Startup/Shutdown category which includes every aspect of the startup or shutdown process and allows you to take finally control over it

The settings X-Setup Pro offers not only include any Windows version ever available (Windows 95 to Windows Server 2003 Enterprise), but also a lot of programs settings as well. Regardless if you want to lock down your Internet Explorer, make Acrobat Reader to start faster, control the security aspects of your computer, change Microsoft Office 2000, XP or 2003 settings: X-Setup Pro is there and helps you to gain control.

KeePass v0.94a Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP
(FileSize: 300 kb) [Freeware] ScreenShot

Today you need to remember many passwords. You need a password for the Windows network logon, your e-mail account, your homepage's ftp password, online passwords (like any site-member accounts), etc. etc. etc. The list is endless. Also, you should use different passwords for each account. Because if you use only one password everywhere and someone gets this password you have a problem... A serious problem. He would have access to your e-mail account, homepage, etc. Unimaginable.

But who can remember all those passwords? Nobody, but KeePass can. KeePass is a free, open-source, light-weight and easy-to-use password safe for Windows.

The program stores your passwords in a highly encrypted database. This database consists of only one file so it can be transferred from one computer to another easily.

KeePass supports password groups, so you can sort your passwords (for example into Windows, Internet, My Homepage, etc.). You can drag-n-drop passwords into other windows. The program can export the database to TXT, HTML, XML or CSV files.

For sure, you can also print the password list or current list view (see groups). Using the context menu of the password list you can quickly copy password or user name to the Windows clipboard. Searching in password database is possible.

KeePass can be translated into other languages very easily (currently English, German and French are available). The program has a strong random password generator (you can define the possible output characters).

And the best: it's free and you have full access to its source code!

KeePass is a Windows application. It has been developed using Microsoft Visual C++ with MFC classes. No .NET framework is required, nor any other special DLLs. So it should run on all Windows operating systems.

Emsa DiskCheck 1.0.57 Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP
(FileSize: 186 kb) [Freeware] ScreenShot

Note: This program requires the "Visual Basic 6 Runtime Files" Most likely they are already on your computer. However if they aren't, you should download them. They are also needed for other programs to run. Here is a link to download them: Visual Basic 6 Runtime files

This program is FREEWARE. Please refer to the License.txt file included in the zip file for licensing information.

Emsa Disk Check is a dual-purpose utility, for disk checking (prescan and full disk reading) and also benchmarking. What it does, is scanning/reading the entire contents of a disk (CD, DVD or hard drive; or even floppy) and show any read errors that may appear, but also show drive speed information, progress statistics etc. It was designed with simplicity in mind, but usefulness for the user.

You can use it to do a full check of the surface of any disks, for example if you have just scratched a disk and want to see if it is still readable, or if you want to check all your cd library for time or usage related faults. You can also use it for drive benchmarking, easily comparing speeds through 'X' speed multiplier factor, in real conditions. You can also scan hard drives or even floppies - and get real condition performance information accordingly with drive performance but also with the way data is stored on it, which obviously impacts on overall performance. Make sur you clean the CD or DVD before doing tests, to remove dirt and ensure tests are accurate.

Benchmarking Information: By design, this application does not use direct disk access and sector reading. Instead, it uses regular disk access functions provided by the operating system, just like any usual application will do; we did this to get as close as possible to the real usage conditions. This allows the user to check the actual max speed of the drive in 'real' conditions and not the theoretical ones. This means your drive may be capable of higher speeds in theory, but what you see is how fast it actually runs. Something like 'show me how fast this disk runs on my drive, using the computer configuration i have right now'. Performing a benchmark on a hard disk is also useful, and you can then make a comparison with your CD or DVD drive.

PrintFolders 2.1 Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP
(FileSize: 420 kb) [Freeware] ScreenShot

PrintFolders can save a list of files and folders into a plain-text (TXT) or HTML file. You can catalogue your MP3 music, photos, software and anything you want with a single click of mouse!

PrintFolders offers three customizable output formats: HTML, plain-text and unformatted plain-text. HTML looks the best and can contain direct links to listed files, plain-text is small and very easy to edit, unformatted plain-text is created especially for using with spreadsheet and database programs. The output files are clear and easily understandable. You can view samples of PrintFolders' output files: HTML, plain-text, unformatted plain-text.

Output file can be easily customized to fit your needs: you can choose what to include into the list, how the list will look and where it will be placed. PrintFolders is especially useful for listing MP3 music because it can use ID3 tags that usually contain full song title, album title, artist name, etc.

The "Custom root" option allows you to place any custom path before a chosen folder. This is especially useful for cataloguing files before burning them onto a CD: just type the name of a folder where your files will be placed on a CD and click "Go!". All paths will begin with your CD folder instead of actual current path. Then burn your CD!

The interface of PrintFolders is plain and well-organized. The folder browser and the most of options are available directly from the main window.

(FileSize: 738 kb) [Freeware] ScreenShot

The Registry is a heart and soul of any Windows system. It contains information that controls how your Windows appears and how it behaves. Most applications today use registry to store configuration and other important data. When you install an application, a new registry entries will be created. This entries will automatically be deleted when you uninstall the application. Unfortunately, it is not always work that way. Sometimes, you will find that some applications fail to remove their own registry entries. This entry will become obsolete.
After a long period, after installing and uninstalling a lot number of applications, your Windows registry will contain a large number of obsolete entries. This will significantly increase the registry size and thus will slowdown your computer, because Windows will need more time to load, search, and read data from registry. To keep your computer in top performance, it is recommended to periodically clean your Windows registry.

ALLPlayer V2.0 Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP
(FileSize: 1058 kb) [Freeware] ScreenShot

The "AllPlayer" program is freeware type which means that you can, use it as much as you want to!

Generally about the program:
"ALLPlayer" is one of the best program for you to watch the films which subtitles in all formats registered in the system (e.g. DIVX/AVI/MPG/MP3).

Unlike most players, "ALLPlayer" is not the overlay for Windows Media Player and uses directly the DirectX, thanks that with ALLPlayer you can reproduce any movie without needing to have two or three other players in case some of them wouldn't work with the film you'd like to watch.

Other, probably one of the greatest, advantage of ALLPlayer is inbuilt unique function IQ Text (intelligent subtitles). Thanks to this function you won't miss any subtitles watching the film!!! Very often the subtitles come so fast one after another that you don't manage to read everything, but from now on, thanks to IQ Text, you won't have this problem any more. The ALLPlayer program analyses the length of subtitles by itself and adjusts the speed of its display (you to be able to read everything). It works perfectly!!! Check yourself!!

What's more, ALLPlayer detects missing codecs needed to reproduce the film and if needed, automatically downloads them from internet (program detects several times more codecs than Windows Media Player !!!)

There are also many other functions and advantages of ALLPlayer such as: repair corrupted AVI file, skins and skins editor, handling two monitors or monitor and TV at the same time (e.g. the film on TV and the control panel on the desktop), PlayList, inbuilt function Anti Freeze, automatic reproduction of two parted movies, very easy configuration for those who record CDROM, look below, handling panoramic TVs, high speed, minimized system requirements, intuitive program operation and many other interesting and unique functions.
