Ascii Character Maps Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP
(FileSize: 557 kb) [Freeware] No ScreenShot

Ascii Character Maps
ASCII, the American Standard Code for Information Interchange is a standard seven-bit code finalised in 1968. For all versions of ASCII code the first 128 slots (0 to 127) are identical. The extended ASCII, codes 128 to 255, vary.

The Ascii Character Maps show both the standard Windows extensions and the PC keyboard extensions. The Keyboard map will be useful to all PC users operating a Windows system, and the Windows map to programmers. Only Microsoft will know why they have one set of extensions for application developers and another for Windows users.

A little known feature of Windows is that all the ASCII symbols may be generated by holding down the Alt key and entering the ASCII number on the number pad. It must be on the number pad, not on the number line above the typewriter keyboard. Thus, for example, Alt+156 generates the ? symbol. To find the number associated with the symbol use the Keyboard map. We do not offer technical support for freeware.

Steven 4.0 Windows 98se/ME/2000/XP
(FileSize: 9.3 mb) [Freeware] ScreenShot

(STEVEN) Version 4.0 a complete spam solution.

Compatible with Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook with mail, or any mail system with POP Retrieval. (STEVEN) on forwards by either SMTP or hosts a POP server.

Operating System Support

Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 98 SE, Windows ME.
Pentium 200Mhz system, 32mb or Higher. Microsoft .NET Framework Installed and MDAC 2.7 or higher (distributed with STEVEN)

(STEVEN) employs an advance email checking system that validates the sender of the email rather than relying on content to determine if it is spam or not. (STEVEN) does this by automatically replying to all emails it retrieves with a brief message asking the sender to validate the message they sent you. The sender validates it simply by hitting reply and send. This is a once only procedure per sender as once they have been validated it will never need to validate them again. People that send spam very rarely have a valid email address and hence (STEVEN) detects this and determines the email as SPAM. For mailing list you have subscribed to you will have to manually white list these senders once. (STEVEN) will also delete attachments automatically that can be considered harmful to your system. This is an optional setting and you can control which attachments to delete or warn the user about.

BatchTransfer v1.0 Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP
(FileSize: 285 kb) [Freeware] ScreenShot

BatchTransfer is a Windows Explorer shell extension that allows you to transfer files in a batch. You simply select a number of files, right click and pick BatchTransfer to add files to a transfer queue. You just keep adding files to the queue until you have all the files you want to transfer (copy or move) and then pick a destination in BatchTransfer's dialog (recent destinations are, of course, remembered).

When transferring, the program allows for advanced overwriting options: It can overwrite only newer files (which frequently comes in handy), prompt you for each file, never overwrite or overwrite all files without asking.

Furthermore, BatchTransfer has functionality for transferring the targets of shortcuts/links, so it's useful if you maintain a collection of links and then want to transfer the actual files. As for the filename of the destination, you can either use the shortcut's name or the real source's name.

It's very similar to a paint program; you must first choose a tool (on the left bar), then you can draw with mouse and all be done!

For example drawing a rectangle with mouse in the page and pressing preview button (that on the top with earth) you will create a page visible on Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, ecc... in about 10 seconds of work!

If you'd like to create the same thing in HTML (if you know HTML or Dynamic HTML) you should spend almost 10 minutes and many and many tests.

Objects disponibility is actually limited but they are enough to create anything.

These are the main program features:

1) Images import and automatic export

It's possible to insert in your page an image (in these graphical format: .jpg; .jpeg; .gif; .bmp; .wmf; .emf; .rle; .png; .tga; .tif; .tiff; .ico; .pcx; .pcd; .psd), resize it and generate the page without be care the way it will be exported; the editor automatically convert it, if necessary, to an appropriated WEB format.

2) Automatic generation of dynamic .html, .xml, .php, .asp, .cfm, .jsp cross-browser pages.

With few clicks you can associate definite situations (called events) to actions.
All editor objects supports events management (excluding rectangle) and with events editor you can manage everything in a simple way. This is dynamic HTML.
The problem is that every browser (internet navigation program) support events in various way; the editor solve this!

If you also have the opportunity to use a dinamic page web server (.asp, .php, .cfm, .jsp) there is the possibility to generate a run-time loaded page. The benefit is the reuse of code (see section 3).

For example if you have a common header to all your pages, you can include it in a .dhe file and export only one time for your site.

3) Possibility of linking others .dhe files

If your pages are divided in various parts it's possible to create these parts in a separated .dhe file and importing them in all pages.
Updating the part in the .dhe file you update also the page that contain this file.
It's also possible to inherit properties of included dhe objects.
For example if you have a header file with some common scripts you may think to write them in a file called header.dhe and import it in your destination page specifying to inherit object content.

4) Ability to create link from labels or images

You can create a link to another web site or page simply selecting a part or label and pressing 'Create Link' button or setting the properties for an image object.

5) Support and generation of complex labels

With integrated labels editor it's possible to create complex labels with multiple colors, fonts, events, backgrounds.

6) Inclusion of any HTML code

With HTML object it's possible to insert whatever code in your page (objects, scripts, links, etc...).
There is a small editor with a few predefined buttons.
