WindowPinner 1.0 (FileSize: 63kb)
Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2K/XP [Freeware]

This utility allows you to "pin" a window to the top of all other windows. The idea for this tool arose when I had to do a documentation for some program. Instead of repeatedly switching from one window to the other I thought it helpful to have my word processor staying in front of the other one... When the program is running an icon appears in the Taskbar Notification Area, next to the time display in the lower right corner of the screen. By clicking the icon, a menu appears where all currently open windows are displayed. Click the window you would like to have set as top most window (i.e. all other windows lie below this window. To remove "top most" from a window again, just select the window another time!

Well here is a new search engine called WinFind created by Brian Livingston. What makes this search engine special, is that it was created to search for Windows tips, tweaks, and hints, that are only from reliable sources. Here is an excerpt from the author himself about his search engine:
I can't tell you how many times I've searched the Web to study a Windows problem and then found pages saying something such as, "Start the Registry Editor and delete anything you think you don't need."

Don't get me wrong. Today's generalized search engines are way cooler than a mountain of manuals when you need a quick information fix.

But you can seriously mess up your PC by following the advice on some Web pages that happen to match your search terms or that a lot of people have linked to.

That's why I've developed WinFind, a new, specialized Windows tips search engine that's free for you to use. The service indexes more than a dozen Web sites that I've found to be packed with extensive and reliable Windows guidance.
